Bro Hobby consistently produces SUPERIOR quality Motors and have so for years now.
The specs on this BNF (bind and fly) on paper look spectacular! They are giving you QUALITY components whereas many other companies just toss crap in their ready to fly models. The ESC is rated at 35 Amps! The canopy leaves much to be desired but still .. Its pictured with a measly 4S battery. 35Amp ESC is OVERKILL for a 4S so one would need to evaluate the limitations of the other components regarding their ratings limitations. And these days its either toothpick tiny (Kabab FPV) one or two cell little funzies or 5 -6S power houses for 5″ frames. Also the quality of the Carbon fiber may make or break this SKU. pun intended
Bottom line (I didn’t look them up) but if the other hardware; motors, FC etc can’t handle 5S / 6S this might just be a moot offering, arriving late in the quadcopter game not recognizing the current trends. Despite that, its a Brother Hobby product its basically guaranteed to be a solid performer ( if the carbon is legit ). But they may have missed the mark with pragmatism in reflecting the current hype and focus in the market.
We are all about the tiny tiny ones now and the larger frames 5-6 inch must support 5S or 6S batteries. Were focusing on larger propellers on 5 inch frames for longer flight times and still having acrobatic agility. Either that or the sub-niche of long distance / freestyle is the other focus these days. I’m not a racer but this looks like it might be a descent racing frame, but again no one is rocking 4S anymore/ That’s so 2017. Swiftly changing hobby ! Very fluid
